Located in the northwest coast of Bali overlooking the mountain and sea, Taman Sari Resort and Spa provides beachfront accommodation with an outdoor pool. As a community and eco-tourism program, the resort is supporting a reef conservation project using Biorock technology and guests can participate in the conservation effort.

Each villa at Taman Sari Bali Resort and Spa boasts a private pool, while other units come with a private terrace. Every room has air conditioning and an en suite bathroom. Day beds are provided.

Guests can go diving, trekking or relax with a massage at the spa. Services include bicycle rental and a tour desk. Aiport shuttle is also provided.

Breakfast is served every morning at the on-site Poleng Restaurant, which also opens for lunch and dinner. Special diet menu is available upon request.

Relax in nature

Really relaxing and enjoyable 2-night stay at Taman Sari. I had a lovely Balinese style villa at the end of the property, set in beautifully maintained gardens, Frangipani dotted everywhere. I had to cross a little wooden bridge, with ponds either side filled with waterlilies. Spacious and tastefully decorated room (very comfortable bed and pillows), and the patio area with private outdoor bathroom. The pool and dining area overlooked the bay and beach. Here you can swim and snorkell. Conservation of the coral is very important here. A varied breakfast menu with fresh, smoothy juices can be enjoyed on the sand overlooking the sea. Lovely friendly staff to make you feel right at home, could have stayed a little bit longer! #janetstravelstyle

The resort was newly renovated last year, including the landscape. Its right by the beach and perfect for young families to take their kids to do snorkeling. Food from the restaurant was great

Wonderful

The grounds are amazing and the location ideal. The staff went above and beyond when we noticed we had a bag of gifts in the room. They arranged for a driver to drop off the item at our hotel in Sanur for a small fee. This was much appreciated.

The food and drinks are a bit overpriced for Bali.

We wished we had walked the entire grounds the day we arrived so we could have discovered all the resort had to offer.

The atmosphere and quietness. The grounds were beautiful!

Wasn’t made aware of what or reminded of what my room came with or amenities on to Properly at arrival. A map of the resort would be extremely helpful to identify the attractions on site.

lovely beachfront property, locally owned. will be back.

Great location on a beautiful calm bay with easy beachfront access to water for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving. Lovely staff and great experience interacting with them from check in, to meals (breakfast and dinner), and checkout. Thoughtful setup, excellent pool setting (I don't usually do pools), comfortable beds with mosquito nets. Stayed in both the new building, which was quite modern (we had an upstairs room with balcony) and an older villa-type room with a porch. Both were great. Would stay again - very relaxing, close to activity. Also like that this is a locally owned property.

Lovely location; fabulous staff

The gardens and grounds are exquisite; the food wonderful, but most of all the staff is efficient, friendly, well-dressed and thoughtful. We enjoyed the snorkeling expedition from the hotel and really, really enjoyed the West Bali Tour the hotel arranged.

First, the sheets did not fit the bed and we ended up with them around out necks every morning. Seems a silly way to save money - by not buying proper-fitting sheets. The basin the the bathroom was set too far back on the stand - hard to wash, shave, etc., because you have to bend so much; not good for people with bad backs. While the idea of an outdoor bathroom is nice, in reality trying to do your toiletries in sweltering heat is not the best. Our coffee in the room was not replaced every day, in fact it was never replaced after we used it the first day; we were there 6 days. The view from the patio was lovely, but without a ceiling fan it was impossible to sit outside to enjoy it.

Other than the issue I raised regarding plastic, it was as always, a relaxing and lovely stay.

Staff are always lovely, the location is fabulous, and the villas wonderful!

As someone who lived in Bali many years ago, returns regularly, & has stayed at Tamin Sari and plans to continue doing so, I was both pleased & heartbroken. Your facility is beautiful; it’s where I always stay when I visit the north shore. And while my comments do not relate directly, or only to Tamin Sari, my hope is that I can encourage you to take the lead & be a model for change for other villas. The issue is the unbelievable amounts of plastic on the shore & in the water. I heard endless numbers of tamu describe the beach as disgusting,” saying it would keep them from returning. It was heartbreaking to see the level of the problem. And while this certainly is not the fault of Tamin Sari, you are doing very little to improve the situation. Every day that I was there I spent a large portion of my walking and swimming time, picking up plastic along the shore & in the water. But to do so, I had to search every dive shop, until I found one who would lend me a mesh dive bag to collect garbage. And this is one example of how Tamin Sari is REALLY missing a great opportunity! If you were to have 2-3 large mesh bags in every villa, along with a 1-sheet explanation of the problem & what Tamin Sari is doing to make it better, not only would most visitors hel—but more importantly, you would be setting an example & letting clients know that YOU are aware of the problem AND are doing your best to be part of the solution! The 1-page document could explain the situation: how east-west currents at the mouth of the bay bring plastics in from other islands, how Bali has banned plastic bags, that you only use bamboo straws, etc.—AND you could talk about the success of the bio reef & the turtle project, & what you are doing to support those endeavors. Most people who stay at Tamin Sari care about the planet & want to help. But YOU have to make it easy for them to do so & that you are doing your part! Please give this serious consideration.

Comfortable, tasteful, clean resort by the beach

The rooms are tastefully decorated, super clean, and really comfortable. The staff is generally lovely (with the exception I'm detailing below). The location is great, right on the beach, and there are plenty of facilities to enjoy (various pools, spa, restaurant, drug store, etc).

There's only one thing I didn't like: though the staff was generally absolutely helpful and lovely, on the day of the check out , as it was raising, we asked if it could be possible for the reception to arrange a car to take us 400m down the road to a restaurant called Local Hero. None of the 6(!) staff in reception was able to either arrange this for us, or politely decline. They kept trying to convince us the restaurant doesn't exist (!), calling for a higher manager, or not understand us all together. After around 10-15 min of waiting and repeatedly explaining our request to various staff members, we gave up and walked to the restaurant through the rain. Not exactly great service. Even a "we can't help you with that" would've been fine.

The sea view suits are like a dream.

The sea view suits are like a dream. You get overwhelmed by the view, silence, nature and coziness. One of the best romantic spots for a couple who want to get rid of city buzz. Also, it is located on a spot which offers one of the best snorkeling options. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are so delicious that you don’t need to search for any other locations. The stuff is so helpful and friendly too.

Beautiful villa with pool

The two bedroom villa and grounds we had were gorgeous and spacious and it was a delight to have the privacy and a private pool in a very attractive spacious and mature garden. The villa itself is a bit dated and needs some maintenance but it was very pleasant. There are a large number of staff at the hotel, many at both the reception and in the restaurant with seemingly little to do but maybe this was because the hotel was not full.

Breakfast was very poor to average with a limited choice and variety of food on offer. Flies were a continual problem on the fruit and around us when we were eating but we were told it is the time of year.

Outdoor bathroom, breakfast on the beach, very friendly staff and location. Very good for snorkelling! Good restaurants and some shops on walk distance. Area is still quiet, not crowded by many tourists.

WiFi at our bungalow was slow, furniture on terrace of our bungalow was not comfortable, restaurant prices too high. The beach chairs were not sunny located for them who like to be in the sun. At certain tide plast waste in sea.

Pemutaran, Bali...worth the 4 hrs drive

The resorts location, the cleanliness of the rooms and the grounds, and the friendliness of the staff.

The only suggestion I could make would be that the restaurant think about revamping its breakfast options.

We stayed here in January - was very quiet. Not many options to walk to outside the hotel.

A mirror needed inside the property (only has a mirror in the outside bathroom). Location was a bit quiet for our liking.
